Java'sae Nelhah: A religious smart mouthed Keeper who very much lives up to the wandering lifestyle that his bloodkin expect of him. Imania Winsome: A Garlean born woman who escaped Imperial rule with hopes of rising an army big enough to overturn a government. Voyce Oswell: A skewed Ishgardian Brume rat who's love of coin is almost deadlier than his sniper rifle shots. What would these three people ever have in common? They along with a self-dubbed 'King' are the creators and leaders of a ever moving floating market in the sky.
Driven by their own desires to see a market free of a City-State's influence, these three became Lords of the Isle and under the guidance of their mysterious King, fronted not only the start up costs of the Cursed Coin market, but swore to protect the floating Isle it resides on at all costs.Stolen from the Sea of Clouds itself, the Isle of Imani has become a rather unique but welcome oddity drifting across the Star in recent years. Enchanted with a high concentration of water and wind aspected aether to stay aloft, Imani’s use and history has been as unique as the people who call her home. At first, she served as the sturdy base of the Lord's economic and philosophical dreams. Over time, however, she has seen her population swell, paving the way to a bustling, proud, and self-sustaining civilization to rival the city-states far below the clouds she sails.While things have changed over the years from once humble beginnings, and only two of the original Lords remain, the Cursed Coin Markets on the floating Isle of Imani still remains a marvel in skies; serving as a sanctuary, a place of business, and a home for pirates, adventures, misfits, and any hardworking person on the Star.
About Us: Out of Character
The Cursed Coin is a Free Company that caters to players who handle their own roleplay contacts and character progression. With our Free Company house serving as a market anyone can come and go from, this hub allows it's members to get involved with almost any plot or make contacts with nearly any character from any walk of life.
Our company works together at all times. Content wise we regularly try to help each other progress in not only MSQ, but offer 24/7 buffs for leveling and teleportation. Many of our members are endgame crafters and gatherers that work together to keep us all geared in the current top-quality equipment. They also tend to work in sync to support each other with various company wide and personal projects.Roleplay wise, we pride ourselves on taking time to earn our character's progression as opposed to hand-waving the nitty gritty details of achieving tasks. To further support this we have created our own unique Roleplay System based off of DnD5e and regularly encourage our members to make contacts outside our FC to achieve specific goals. This encourages community outreach, promotes the making of new contacts, and allows further 'random' influences to be introduced to our rp that would normally not occur!Due to the unique nature of our setting, we are also presented with many opportunities for custom world-building on the island of Imani and other player-generated locals throughout Etheryis. To keep track of these elements, we maintain a document that outlines locations, npcs, and other elements of import relevant to characters heavily involved with our own. While it isn't important to know all of these things, we're always eager to share!Focusing on this combination of creative roleplay and content, you can easily find the members of the Cursed Coin exploring every field Final Fantasy XIV has to offer! From PvP to mapping, extreme trials and raids, even community roleplay events; you name it? We're probably there somewhere!We also lean more on becoming close friends in our Free Company and aim to create a positive environment in which one can have fun at after a long day of work. Due to this, we actually prefer to remain a semi-closed Free Company and only open our doors to people via invite/extremely long trial periods that allow us to get to know you.

Out of Character Market Rules
rule i. Powerplaying/Godmodding is not welcome at this establishment at anytime. rule ii. Please remember that this place is a semi-neutral ground. If you're going to start a problem, you will be asked to leave the premises. rule iii. While we understand racism is a topic explored in this game's lore ICly, OOCly we do not accept racism, sexism, Anti-LGBTQ+ speech, hate speech, or degrading content of that kind, PERIOD. One is a fact of the setting, the other is purposeful hate, and we do not accept the latter. If you're ever uncomfortable, express this OOCly clearly. If it has been expressed by someone? Respect their boundary vocalized immediately. rule iv. No ERPing in the communal areas. It's considered extremely rude and no one wants to be subjected to that. rule v. Never have your character claim the establishment is owned by them at anytime. Doing so may compromise our FC's plotlines otherwise and our leadership does not want to go through the process of correcting this in any OOC or IC manner. rule vi. We also ask for you to not have your characters 'steal' from obvious backrooms at the establishment. This will be considered power playing otherwise and again is not welcome here. rule vii. While some of our Private Rooms are labeled Open RP meaning they are welcome for the public to use, we ask for you to respect the private rooms labeled ICly Locked Room. These are private rooms not open for the public to RP in; don't ever assume they are unlocked for your convince in an IC or OOC manner. rule viii. Basically? Treat others how you yourself wish to be treated here.
In-Character Market Rules
rule i. The floating Isle of Imani that the Cursed Coin market resides on is semi-neutral territory. Policed by the three Lords and their own in-house security, said security strongly discourages murder, stealing, etc. for it lowers the reputation of the Isle. rule ii. Due to limited space, resources, and hyper controlled environment animals are not allowed on the Isle of Imani unless they've been approved by one of the Lords. Visiting Chocobos that are taken to reach the Isle are welcome, however they are expected to be housed in the appropriate stable at all times. rule iii. Due to the nature of the island itself, and in the name of its preservation, only permanent residents and those who have accompaniment or a pass are permitted to wander the lands beyond the Cursed Coin Market's domain. rule iv. Due to the complexity and varying stances on it, the Lords have agreed slavers are not welcome to sell their goods at the market. rule v. If found breaking one of the rules or committing a crime, punishments will be distributed by one of the Lords. Punishments for crimes can scale from a simple fee to be paid to as severe as death, however punishment will always reflect severity of said crime committed.
Shops
One is not required to join our Free Company to roleplay in the Cursed Coin markets. Open nearly 24/7 for players to enjoy, we encourage and welcome folks to use our Free Company home for their own RP needs. To create a respectful environment, we ask visitors to view our OOC and IC market rules before visiting or roleplaying at the Cursed Coin market.
We also allow and even encourage our Free Company members to turn their own private quarters into personal shops should they wish too! Said shops are all clearly marked in their room descriptions, so feel free to take a peek while you visit our markets anytime! However please respect private rooms for our players also like to use them frequently for their own RPs!

The Cat's Tale
Tucked away in the smallest shop in the markets, is the bookshop. However, the Keeper inside has lined its floor to ceiling shelves with every piece of literature you can imagine. From recipe books, to fairy tales. Oswell Stables
Somewhere upon the Island of Imani, a distance from the market itself, is the grand stable of the Lord Oswell. There a wide variety of pedigree chocobo are bred and produced for trade or utility. Even racing birds for the Gold Saucer’s Tracks! While the stable is broadly known, access proves rather exclusive. In that one isn’t likely to simply wander up to the stable itself without first seeking the man himself for an audience, however his office location is available to the curious and brave.Shopkeeper name: Voyce Oswell

Phoenix Down Inn
One can easily lose track of time staying here and it is because of this that the Lords required an Inn to be built! For a small nightly fee, one can lay their heads down in moderate comfort and privacy. The Whispered Word offers enchanted magical items that include weaponry, apparel, potions, drugs and even specialty drinks. Alongside that, they offer custom enchantment orders, identification of magical items, help with curses or hexes, help with blessings, and even a bit of fate reading on the side. As a travelling market based upon a floating island, the market is often stocked with goods from exotic locales, such as the far-flung Thavnair to the more localized Limsa Lominsa. While one will find plenty of "over the counter" goods, those with particular tastes can often find more illicit wares if they know how to ask.
◎ Sovereign Rule Based upon a travelling, floating island, the Cursed Coin operates beyond the purview of the city-states. It stands as a sovereign locale, governed by the lords of the market and their personal security. That being said, gaining entry to the Cursed Coin is often a matter of rumors making the rounds, or invitation, as it never makes landfall. Those capable of locating it are always welcome ... As long as they mind the market rules.
